Inside Sales Representative

Lucigen seeks a self-motivated and attentive team player to serve as an inside sales representative leading customer onboarding, customer support, and customer satisfaction efforts for Lucigen's products and services. Additional responsibilities for the position include:

  • Contribute actively to commercial and marketing initiatives, especially those initiatives focused on driving incremental business growth through field sales
  • Work closely and in collaboration with Field Sales to enhance working relationships with key accounts; manage the "Key Accounts Program" with recognition and incentives that lead to strengthened relationships
  • Design, implement and manage processes that allow the team to effectively cover both inbound and outbound calls; effectively handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and triage to appropriate internal stakeholder when necessary
  • Further qualify inbound qualified marketing leads, engage with existing customers and qualified sales leads, and guide customers to the products that best meet needs
  • Enter new customer data and update existing accounts in the customer database (CRM)

Senior Scientist - NGS Bioinformatics

Lucigen seeks a highly knowledgeable, customer-focused, and strongly analytical senior scientist to provide company-wide expertise in the analysis and management of NGS data and in the development of NGS-based methods and applications. Additional responsibilities for the position include:

  • Process, record, analyze, and extrapolate from experimental data and results, including NGS data sets from various platforms and collaborators
  • Generate, optimize and maintain scripts for routine NGS data processing
  • Effectively communicate results to the Lucigen team and external customers
  • Initiate feasibility experiments designed to expand the Lucigen product portfolio

  • Thorough understanding of NGS methods, platform-specific capabilities, and data interpretation
  • Hands on experience with analyzing and managing large-scale genomic data (e.g. whole genome sequencing, exome-seq, target enrichment, amplicon sequencing, RNA-seq, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with genome alignment, mapping, variant calling and annotation tools
  • Familiarity with human and mammalian genomics, standard genomic databases (UCSC, EnsEMBL, NCBI), formats, and tools

Sales Manager - North America

Lucigen seeks an exceptionally driven, customer-focused, and experienced sales manager to lead, inspire, organize, and direct both the tactical and strategic activities of the Lucigen domestic sales team. Additional responsibilities for the position include:

  • Ensure a high level of liaison with other departments & staff to ensure coordination of activities and understanding of common goals

Technical Support & Application Scientist

Lucigen seeks an analytical and customer-focused technical support & application scientist to provide expert technical troubleshooting solutions to customers in multiple stages of the sales cycle (evaluation, validation, or post-sale). Additional responsibilities for the position include:

  • Support customer inquiries through telephone, e-mail, fax, or visits to customer labs
  • Comply with Lucigen's quality system and regulatory requirements associated with customer support and complaint handling; ensure completeness and accuracy (quality) of contact and product logging in the complaint handling system
  • Perform laboratory work to identify root cause of customer technical issue, prepare for workshop or training, evaluate a new Lucigen product or application, or evaluate a competitor's product
  • Review marketing material for technical accuracy, including user's manuals, product brochures, communication to customers, and other technical documents as they occur
  • Monitor and report competitor activities, technical developments, and trends
  • Serve as a resource to the product development, marketing, and sales teams, as assigned by supervisor
  • Understands and complies with ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements applicable to our business
  • Produce and help maintain an archive of customer-facing material including but not limited to: application notes, white-papers, posters, marketing content for videos and presentations

This position requires a B.S. or B.A. (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred) degree in a life sciences-related discipline. Additional requirements include:

  • Technical competency to understand and to clearly discuss fundamental theory and principles of experimental design, techniques and results; to stay current in technical knowledge; to troubleshoot and to provide information back to the customer in a helpful, courteous, positive and professional manner
  • Minimum of 3 years lab experience with proven knowledge and understanding of molecular biology, cell biology, and related fields; previous experience working with customers in technical services position preferred

Lucigen seeks a customer-focused and experienced field application scientist to serve as the primary technical liaison and field contact between Lucigen and customers performing next generation sequencing (NGS) applications. Additional responsibilities for the position include:

  • Provide expert understanding and strong technical competency to identify customer challenges and map them to Lucigen's products and services
  • Onboard new users from product evaluation onward throughout the sales cycle
  • Provide high-level technical support to the customer regarding design requirements and guidance or input on experiments related to use of Lucigen's products
