Diagnostic Development Scientist
Lucigen has a position for a talented individual with assay development experience and laboratory skills in molecular biology. The qualified candidate will work as part of a team that is developing a game–changing platform that combines proprietary single–molecule sensitivity, multiplexing, and full automation for use in POC testing. Job Profile:
The Diagnostic Development Scientist responsibilities include reagent development and optimization, assay protocol optimization following DOE principles, migration of manual assays to an automated device, specifications development, statistical analysis, and verification, manufacturing and validation protocol writing all in conformance with IVD design control regulations (ISO 13485).
The candidate should have technical experience in several of the following areas:
- Nucleic acid purification.
- DNA sequencing and amplification
- Multiplex assay development
This individual must be analytical and detail-oriented with excellent organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. He/she must have strong oral and written communication skills, in addition to excellent laboratory skills. The individual must be highly motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, and have strong computer skills, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, data analysis, and presentation software. The position requires a Bachelors or Masters Degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or related field, plus relevant industrial experience.
