- High-quality, conventional BAC library
- Economical alternative to Random Shear method
Figure 1 shows a partial digestion mouse genomic BAC library constructed at Lucigen.
A typical 5~10X BAC partial digestion library is constructed using one or more of the following restriction enzymes: HindIII, EcoRI, BamHI. Additional coverage and/or additional enzyme digestion is available.
All libraries are delivered as frozen BAC clones in 384- or 96-well plates with barcode labels on the lids and sides and shipped in Lucigen's library storage boxes on dry ice. A library construction report, technical support, and the directions for safe handling of the custom BAC library are also provided.

| Figure 1. High Molecular Weight genomic DNA was isolated from mouse blood, partial digested with HindIII, size-selected 100~400 kb, and cloned into the pSMART BAC vector. DNA from minipreps was digested with NotI to excise inserts. The vector band is visible at 7 kb. |
