CircLigase™ ssDNA Ligase is covered by intellectual property rights licensed to Epicentre® (an Illumina® company). The purchase of this product conveys to the buyer the nontransferable right to use the purchased product and components of the product in research conducted by the buyer. The buyer cannot sell or otherwise transfer this product or its components to a third party and in particular, no rights are conveyed to the buyer to use the product or its components for commercial use purpose other than for research to gain information that is used by the buyer.

Lucigen’s vectors incorporating the CloneSmart® transcription-free cloning technology are the subject of U.S. Patent No. 6,709,861 and pending patent applications owned by Lucigen Corporation. The consideration paid for these products grants a Limited License to use the purchased amount of products pursuant to the terms set forth in the Limited Label License. Except where stated otherwise, the Limited License specifically excludes manufacture of additional vector derived from these kits. Lucigen’s CopyRight® vectors and Replicator™ competent cells are covered by U.S. Patent No. 5,874,259 and patents-pending licensed to Lucigen. By purchasing these products, the purchaser receives a limited use license for life science research applications.
Some applications in which Lucigen’s EconoTaq® DNA Polymerase can be used may be covered by patents issued and applicable in the United States and certain other countries. Because purchase of this product does not include a license to perform any patented application, users of these products may be required to obtain a patent license depending upon the particular application in which the product is used. The PCR process is the subject of European Patent Nos. 201,184 and 200,262 owned by Hoffman-LaRoche. Those patents expired on March 28, 2006. The corresponding PCR process patents in the United States expired on March 29, 2005.
EZ-Tn5™ Transposon Tools for in vitro transposon insertion are covered by U.S. Patent Nos. 5,925,545; 5,948,622; 5,965,443, and 6,437,109; and other patents issued or pending, exclusively licensed or assigned to Epicentre® (an Illumina® company). Purchasers of these products are granted the right to use the products and to practice the patented methods with the products in all fields outside the human diagnostic field, i.e. in vitro measurement, observation, and/or determination of attributes, characteristics, diseases, traits, and/or other condition of a human being for the medical management of that human being.
Loop-Mediated Amplification (LAMP): Lucigen is a fully licensed provider of LAMP reagents for research use. Patents WO 00/28082, WO 01/34790, and WO 01/77317 regarding the LAMP method are owned by the Eiken Chemical Co. Ltd. OmniAmp™ , LavaLAMP™ and Bst Polymerase, Exonuclease minus are sold by Lucigen under license for use in LAMP for research use only. The products may not be used for LAMP-based human or diagnostic purposes without obtaining a license from Eiken. US Patent 8093030 for LavaLAMP and OmniAmp is owned by Lucigen Corp.
It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to ensure that use of the product does not infringe the patent rights of third parties. If the purchaser is not willing to accept these use limitations, Lucigen Corporation is willing to accept return of the product for a full refund.
